Bahan bakar air (HHO) hybrid pada Daihatsu Xenia 1.3 Th.2010.wmv

Salah satu keunggulan yang jarang dimiliki oleh mobil lain selain Daihatsu Xenia dan Toyota Avanza adalah fasilitas Reset ECU.
Fasilitas ini memungkinkan pengguna untuk berganti-ganti bahan bakarnya dari yang memiliki oktan rendah ke oktan tinggi atau sebaliknya.
Pada Produk Pertamina,seperti : Premium hanya memiliki oktan 88, Pertamax 92 dan Pertamax Plus 95.
Gas Hydrogen pada HHO memiliki oktan lebih dari 130 sehingga dalam penggunaannya pada mesin kendaraan yang berbahan bakar bensin memerlukan penyesuaian pada sistem timing pengapiannya agar bisa mendapatkan penghematan yang tinggi.
Berbeda pada mesin Diesel yang menggunakan sistem kompresi dalam pembakaran bahan bakarnya yang tidak memerlukan pengapian busi, penggunaan suplemen HHO sangat meringankan kerja mesin karena sebelum ruang bakar tercapai tingkat tekanan yang sangat tinggi maka campuran bahan bakar,udara dan HHO sudah meledak duluan, hal ini terbukti pada mobil-mobil diesel yang lama, hadirnya suplemen HHO membuat mesin mudah di starter bahkan bisa tidak memerlukan pemanas lagi.
Pada mesin mobil yang menggunakan sistem injeksi bahan bakar yang lebih modern pengaturannya dikelola oleh ECU (Electronic Control Unit) melalui beberapa sensor yang menempel pada mesin. ECU mampu mengatur mulai dari sistem pengapian, bahan bakar, udara,coolant ,boost controller hingga speed limiter seperti yang terdapat pada mobil-mobil Jepang yang dibatasi hingga kecepatan 180 km/jam saja.
Pada mobil-mobil yang menggunakan suplemen HHO, hubungannya dengan ECU tidak bisa dipisahkan karena berhubungan langsung dengan sensor-sensornya, terutama pada sistem pengapian,BBM dan udara.
Untuk itu remapping ECU sangat diperlukan sekali untuk mendapatkan performa terbaik dan efisiensi yang tinggi. Meskipun pemasangan HHO Generator (Pembangkit bahan bakar air) yang menghasilkan gas HHO dapat dipastikan mesin kendaraan semakin bertenaga apapun BBM nya, namun jika tanpa dibarengi dengan remapping ECU maka tidak akan mendapatkan keuntungan dari penghematannya, kalaupun ada paling-paling hanya sekitar 20% saja.
Selain remapping ECU yang menggunakan Chip dan software khusus, penanganan ECU juga bisa dilakukan dengan cara memanipulasi pada sensor-sensor antara lain pada: Sensor Oksigen,sensor MAP dan atau sensor MAF. Ketiga sensor itu berkolaborasi untuk menentukan banyaknya BBM dan udara yang selanjutnya dilaporkan ke ECU untuk ditindak lanjuti.
Alat elektronik yang dapat memanipulasi ECU melalui sensor Oksigen dan sensor MAP antara lain adalah EFI Enhancer yang sanggup membesarkan dan mengecilkan suara mesin hingga terdengar halus (langsam), bahkan bisa mematikan mesin melalui alat ini.
Selain itu EFI Enhancer (EFIE) juga dapat mendeteksi secara riil melalui sensor Oksigen yang terpasang menempel pada knalpot, apakah campuran BBM dan udaranya itu terlalu kaya (RICH) sehingga boros, normal (IDEAL) atau miskin (LEAN) sehingga bisa sangat irit.
Jika tanpa HHO putarlah potensio pada posisi tengah (IDEAL) agar kendaraan bisa lebih irit dan jangan pada posisi LEAN (lebih dari setengah putaran) karena yang akan terjadi adalah bukannya irit tapi malah tambah boros karena mesin kekurangan tenaga.
Jika hybrid HHO maka pilihan yang paling tepat adalah LEAN (lebih dari setengah putaran) karena miskinnya BBM itu tergantikan oleh gas Hidrogen yang mampu menambah tenaga mesin dengan oktan yang sangat tinggi.
Itu semua bisa terjadi jika ECU pada mobil bisa direset dengan cara melepas kepala terminal negatif aki selama 30 menit atau dengan cara melepas sejenak (10 detik) fuse 15 Ampere pada box sekring yang ada tulisan RESET atau EFI seperti pada mobil: Toyota Avanza, Rush, Daihatsu Xenia, Terios, Luxio dan GranMax.
